Book 6 in the Sparks in Texas Series
She might be too big to sit on Santa’s lap, but Adele still has a couple of Christmas wishes.
First, a night in Porter’s bed. The alpha cowboy is the king of one-night stands, so it shouldn’t be too much to ask. Follow it up with a White Christmas in Texas? She’ll have gotten everything she wants.
Porter doesn’t believe in asking for what he wants, but he’s got a couple of problems. He believes in riding it down and roping it up. If he gets Adele in his bed, he’s not planning to let her go. But there’s his reputation to overcome, and her stubbornness to boot. It might just take a holiday miracle to convince her to stay all year.

Ho Ho Ho!
It's the first Christmas romance review of the year!
And it's a short and not-so-sweet one.
I mean, it's sweet.
But also dirty. Because why not get into the holiday spirit with some spicy romance?
Waiting For Snow is the fifth book in the Sparks in Texas series, an erotic romance series I read all the back in January.
Just like the other books in the series, it doesn't take long to get to the romance and sexy times. At 106 pages long, it's a quick read that will be sure to get your blood pumping. And it's not too heavy into the Christmas trope. Nothing Hallmark-y about it.
Is there much of a story?
Not really.
It's very much about a man deciding to settle down, and a woman in search of a man who can fulfill her fantasies.
So if you are looking for a little erotica with a side of holiday cheer, download Waiting For Snow!
Adele: “You can let go. He’s gone now.”
Porter shook his head.
Porter: “No. If I want to hold my girlfriend’s hand, I will.”
She laughed and rolled her eyes.
Adele: “As far as unbelievable lies go, that one might just take the cake. You know it won’t take Nick long to figure out everything you just said is a pile of shit.”
Porter: “What did he mean when he said he could give you what you want in bed?”
Adele wasn’t the type of woman to embarrass easily, so she could probably count on one hand the number of times she’d blushed. Porter’s question sent a flood of heat to her cheeks, and she didn’t need a mirror to know her face was probably blood red.
Adele: “None of your business.”
Porter gave her a shit-eating grin.
Porter: “Now that I’m your boyfriend, I think it would be helpful to know exactly what it is I’m supposed to be researching.”
Porter: "I’ll pick you up at six, take you to that Italian place over in Douglas for dinner. After that, we can go to Cruisers for a drink.”
Adele: “And after that?”
she asked, her tone challenging. He chuckled.
Porter: “What do you want to happen after that, darlin’? Spell it out for me nice and specific. Just in case I need to do a little research.”
Porter: “You got a date for the holiday social?”
he murmured against her neck. Maris hosted a huge celebration the week before Christmas each year that was attended by everybody in town.
Adele: “No,”
Porter: “You do now.”
She laughed softly.
Adele: “Don’t you want to see how the first date goes?”
Porter: “So you’re saying yes to the date?”
Adele was adorable as she huffed, well aware he’d tricked her into agreeing to go out with him.
Adele: “Dammit. I guess so.”
Porter: “Everybody’s got secrets, Addie. Even in a town as small as Maris. The trick to keeping them is not to tell your dad.”
Adele: “Touché,”
Porter: “Damn, Addie. I had no idea you had a jealous streak a mile wide.”
She narrowed her eyes at his obvious delight.
Adele: “I’m not jealous.”
Porter laughed.
Porter: “Darlin’, if you’d been looking my direction when you stormed out of that shop, guns blazing like that, I would have ducked behind my truck.”
Adele: “She was the,”
she finger-quoted the words,
Adele: “mean girl in high school, and for some reason I was her target of choice.”
Porter: “Don’t think that’s too hard to explain.”
Adele: “You don’t?”
she asked, curious what Porter would think Betsi’s reason for her mistreatment in school would be. He shook his head.
Porter: “Nope. You shine the brightest, Addie. To a dull girl determined to be the queen bee, I imagine that was a threat.”
Adele wasn’t sure how to respond—touched beyond words—even if she didn’t necessarily agree.
Adele: “I was quieter at fifteen, awkward and shy, a little nerdy.”
Porter: “Doesn’t matter. It’s impossible to hide a light as bright as yours.”
Porter: “From where I’m standing, there’s only one stupid person out here and it’s you for insulting my girlfriend.”
Adele spun around, and that was when he realized he hadn’t needed to worry about her. Adele’s eyes were blazing with fury, and now Porter was sort of sorry he’d interrupted before she got to take Keith out herself.
Porter: “Darlin’, you got this?”
She nodded, then grinned when he gave her a wink, held out his hands in a proceed gesture, and took a step back. Adele whirled on Keith.
Adele: “I’m not stupid, Keith. In fact, for the first time in forever, I’m being smart. I’m in love with Porter and…”
She turned back around as if suddenly aware of what she’d just said.
Porter: “And?”
Porter prompted.
Porter: “Keep going.”
She didn’t bother to look back at Keith.
Adele: “And he’s in love with me.”
Porter smiled.
Porter: “That’s right. He is. And…”
Adele: “And while it’s a new relationship, I’m pretty sure…”
Porter held his breath as he waited, hoping and praying they were on the same page as far as their futures were concerned.
Adele: “I’m pretty sure he’s the one for me. Forever.”
Porter nodded.
Porter: “You can be pretty sure. But just so you know…I’m damn sure. I’ve been waiting for a woman like you as long as you’ve been waiting for snow on Christmas.”
Adele: “You’re right. Jealousy is a total turn-on.”
He narrowed his eyes.
Porter: “I didn’t come out here because I was jealous.”
The second he spoke the words, he recognized them for the lie they were.
Adele: “Seems to me maybe we need to find a way to make a couple of truths stick for you too.”
Porter: “Truths?”
Adele: “You can trust me. And I’m yours. Always.”
Porter cupped her face and kissed her softly, gently.
Porter: “And how do you plan to make that stick?”
Adele: “Hmm,”
she said, pretending to consider her options.
Adele: “I suppose I could spank you.”
He growled and shook his head.
Porter: “Come up with another way.”
Adele: “I don’t mean to criticize your proposal, cowboy, but Keith got down on one knee. And he had a ring.”
Porter laughed loudly, ruffling her hair playfully as she tried to swat his hand away.
Porter: “Would you settle for a magic tongue and an Energizer Bunny?”
