Until Then
by Micalea Smeltzer
Self-Published
I never thought I’d find myself craving the small-town life, but I’ve grown to hate LA and all that comes with it.
When I get canceled after a celebrity interview goes terribly wrong, I put my life in the City of Angels on hold and hide out in Parkerville, Maine. My sister has made the small town her home, and my assistant lives there, too. So it seems like the most logical place to go. Until my assistant suggests I move in with her dad.
Her very hot, rugged dad.
Who may or may not hate me after I tried to hook my sister up with him. Because rather than falling for him, she fell for his son.
Oops.
It was an honest mistake.
I fully expect Derrick to tell me to find somewhere else to hunker down, but by some miracle, he agrees to let me stay in his spare bedroom, as long as I help out.
Easy enough, right?

Before I begin, I would like to thank Micalea Smeltzer, her team, and those at Valentine PR, for sending me an arc of Until Then, in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Until Then is the second book that I've read by Micalea Smeltzer, and when I tell you that I loved this book, I mean it.
I. Loved. It.
I loved it even more than 11:11, which this book spins off of.
Hear me out.
Age gap.
Forced proximity.
A bit of a forbidden love.
Great storytelling.
Wonderful writing.
It all comes together in one amazing book.
The overall story is just ... perfect. Michalea is obviously a very strong writer, and it shows in her stories. Until Then flowed so beautifully, bringing two very different characters and storylines together and making it seem flawless. I find that other authors haven't been able to successfully bridge the gap between characters with a big age gap the way Michalea did here. These characters are in different stages of their life. Circumstance brings them together, and they just ... melded perfectly.
Not just because of where these characters are in their lives when they reconnect, but because Michalea just made the chemistry between these two characters magnetic. Of course, there is that tension we readers get, wondering when it will happen, but the chemistry just poured from the page before any romance occurred. It was their when they were just friends.
After loved 11:11, and now this book, I am definitely more intrigued with Michalea Smeltzer's other work, and I look forward to reading more in the future.
