Only Santas in the Building

Book 5 in the Under the Mistletoe Series
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, especially for a comic book illustrator whose late-night fantasies become real in a festive and flirty short story by bestselling author Alexis Daria.
All Evie Cruz wants for Christmas is a nap. And maybe some ornaments for her naked Christmas tree. And while she’s making a list, she wouldn’t mind unwrapping her sexy upstairs neighbor like a present. Luckily, the building’s Santa-themed party and a surprise sprig of mistletoe give her just the opening she needs to make all her wishes come true.

This was a cute short story.
Not my favorite of the series, but it was cute.
I loved the simplicity of this story. Neighbors who secretly pine over one another. Alexis packed a plot into this short story, one that brought these two characters together in a charming way.
I don't have much else to say! haha. It was cute. It was kinda funny - because yes, while I would be empathetic knowing the person who lived in my apartment last died, I too would also internally freak wondering if they died in the apartment. That made me chuckle a little.

Evie: “Oh, no. Did he pass away?”
I infuse my voice with an appropriate amount of horror and sympathy, but I mostly want to know whether he died in my apartment.
Mr. Barnes: “Nothing like that. He moved to Florida.”
Mr. Barnes shudders.
Mr. Barnes: “A worse fate I cannot imagine.
Evie: “I am going to bake you the best goddamn lemon bars you’ve ever tasted.”
His eyes roll back as he moans.
Theo: “I can’t fucking wait.”
Evie: “I didn’t realize baked goods could also make you moan like that,”
I tease, and his gaze darkens.
Theo: “Anything and everything about you makes me moan.”
Evie: “Even my dirty dishes?”
Theo: “I told you, I like cleaning.”
Now it’s my turn to moan.
Evie: “I think that’s the sexiest thing anyone has ever said to me.”
